Samuel Smith - Sam's Brown Ale

Samuel Smith has been brewing typical English Ales since 1758 in the town of Yorkshire, England. Judging by the bottles and labels, not much has been innovated since then, yet the beers taste great, if fresh. Sam Smith's most famous beer is the Nut Brown Ale and is often used as a style example by many another brewer who has tried to recreate it.

The Sam's Brown Ale is a non-alcoholic version of this beer and has the same typical nutty aromas and flavors. The aroma has something earthy and reminiscent of a stew. The taste is very full and slightly sweet with characteristics of hazelnut and light licorice.

English Ales have always been light in alcohol and quite far fermented out, meaning they taste dry. This leaves room for discovering the complex aftertaste.

Cheers
