Thrive - Recovery IPA
'What if you didn't have to compromise' writes the can. Thrive is a Belgian brewery whose brewer was looking for a healthy recovery similar to that tasty beer after intense exercise. Added to the Recovery IPA or Peak as the beer is now called is 10 grams of protein per can derived from milk proteins.
The beer is very refreshing and thirst quenching and may be suitable for muscle recovery. A balance of bitter, sour and sweet with a fruity taste of raspberry, blueberry and pineapple, but much less sweet than most sports drinks. A functional beer, as the brewer intended. Building blocks in drinks after intense exercise are absorbed very quickly in your body, which is why consuming alcohol is unwise.
This fine taste and source of protein make it a tasty alternative. So next time grab a Thrive instead of a La Chouffe, cheers!
