About the brewer

In 2011, brewery de Naeckte Brouwers was founded by Michel Lagrand and Ab van der Veen. With the idea of brewing new beer from the past. What once started as a hobby and a passion, namely brewing beer at home. Grew into a serious occupation in 2013 with the opening of the first brewhouse in Amstelveen.

The Netherlands, a country with a rich beer history, had become a lager desert and the craft of brewing had been lost with it. After all, Michel and Ab had resolved to restore this craft and, with love for old, classic beer styles, revive the art of brewing and, finally, serve people quality beers. Thus was the beginning of a wonderful beer adventure.
