Black Rider: Discover Gulpener's non-alcoholic beers
The discovery of Black Rider
After a visit to Gulpen, my associate Robin returned to the office excited. "I tasted a nice non-alcoholic beer this weekend after all!" he said. His discovery? Black Rider Weizen.
After considerable searching, we also found the Original (Pilsener) and added it to our webshop. This non-alcoholic pilsner is light, malty and refreshing, with a fruity and smooth finish.
Fast forward six months later, we were finally able to order the Weizen as well. A wheat beer with a light color and cloudy white appearance. Fresh, slightly bitter and with a silky smooth finish. Robin had not lied: truly a topper! As a Weizen fan, I could only agree.
The trio complete: Black Rider IPA
The assortment would not be complete without an IPA. After a long wait the time had come: a fresh and fruity IPA with a nice hoppy character. At the same time, the Pilsener and Weizen were given a renewed look. Thus the trio became complete.
But who is actually behind Black Rider? By whom is it brewed?
Gulpener: The brewer behind Black Rider
We often received these questions through our customer service department:
- Which brewer makes Black Rider?
- Where is it brewed?
- Is it a new brand?
Although the beers were not lacking in quality, sales were a bit stiff in the beginning. This was mainly due to the name. Here Gulpener agreed, and so Black Rider was officially renamed Gulpener.
We already knew that, of course! And it showed: sales figures skyrocketed.
New in the Gulpener 0.0 line: Radler and Korenwolf
After a quiet period at Gulpener, there is good news! The warm days are coming, and what goes better with that than a fresh Radler?
Radler 0.0% Lemon
A refreshing non-alcoholic Radler with a light lager taste and a citrusy lemonade blend. The perfect balance of sweet and sour - ideal for a thirst-quenching moment without alcohol.
But that's not all...
Korenwolf 0.0 Witbier
The newest addition to the Gulpener 0.0 line! And not just any white beer: Korenwolf 0.0 has been officially awarded as the tastiest white beer in the Netherlands in 2024 (Dutch Beer Challenge).
This unique wheat beer contains a sensational blend of four local grains, orange peel and coriander seed. The result? A fresh, slightly sweet and spicy taste experience. Extra special: the name Korenwolf refers to the protected hamster that Gulpener works with for nature conservation.
