About the brewer

Lindeboom Bierbrouwerij was founded in 1870 by Willem Geenen, who began brewing beer next to his home near an old lime tree. His focus on quality and local ingredients laid the foundation for the family brewery. In the years that followed, Willem's children, Bernard and Christine, expanded the assortment and introduced innovations such as an automatic bottle-filling machine. The brewery survived the World Wars and was modernized through the generations. Willem Geenen, the third generation, took the first steps toward modernization, while the fourth and fifth generations, led by Ben and Bernd Geenen, further expanded the brewery and exported it abroad. In 1995, Lindeboom was named purveyor to the Royal Court on the occasion of its 125th anniversary. Today, the brewery is led by Bernd Geenen and Lindeboom remains true to its tradition of craftsmanship, with modern technology and a focus on sustainability. In 2022, Lindeboom received the Slow Brewing certificate, highlighting the highest quality standard in the brewing world.
