Bitburger - 0.0% - Pilsner
Unlike most non-alcoholic beers, which use limited fermentation, Bitburger 0.0% Alkoholfrei Pilsener is created by filtering the alcohol out of the beer. This leaves the pure taste of beer untouched.
Previously, the beer was known as Bitburger Drive, but there were fierce discussions about that name. At the time, the beer still contained half a percent alcohol. As a result, many people felt that the link between beer and driving should not be made.
In the end, the brewery pulled the longest straw. A beer where even after 10 glasses, people were still allowed to just drive. When the brewery succeeded in making the beer completely alcohol-free, the name changed to Alkoholfrei.

About the brewer
Bitburger Brewery is a large German brewery headquartered in Bitburg, Rhineland-Palatinate. Founded in 1817 by Johann Wallenborn, it is the third best-selling beer in Germany and the number one beer in the country. It had sales of 3.8 million hectoliters in 2015.
Although Germans generally prefer local breweries, it is a popular beer throughout West Germany and is preferred in many areas of North Rhine-Westphalia, even over Alt beer or Kölsch, which is popular in Düsseldorf and Cologne.
In Germany, variations of the original beer, mostly beer mixes, are also available. "Bit Sun" (a light beer), "Cola Libre" (beer and cola and rum-lemon flavor), "Bit Copa" (beer and lime and cachaça) and "Bit Passion" (beer and pomegranate). There is also a malz beer called "Kandimalz." Finally, should you wantto read more about Bitburger and its history click here.
