Abbey de Koningshoeve in Berkel Enschot
Abbey de Koningshoeve in Berkel-Enschot is a historically significant place. Founded in 1881 by French Cistercians, this abbey is best known for its Trappist beer La Trappe, one of the few true Trappist beers still brewed by monks within the monastery walls. But it's not just beer that rings the bell; Abdij de Koningshoeve also has a farm, bakery and a place where you can stay overnight. The serene surroundings are the perfect place to unwind, learn something about how monks live and, of course, sample a unique beer.
