Dilewyns Brewery - Vicaris NANO - Hoppy Blonde
Dilewyns Brewery - Vicaris NANO - Hoppy Blond is the first non-alcoholic beer in the Dilewyns Brewery assortment. With this unique beer, the family brewery wants to offer a tasty non-alcoholic alternative, without compromising on taste experience. This way, you can enjoy a quality Vicaris beer at any time.
NANO° is a smooth drinking blonde beer with fresh hop and citrus notes. It is brewed with three types of hops and two types of malt, giving the beer a complex and full-bodied taste. An alcohol-free specialty beer with character.
Nano° stands for NA = "Non-Alcoholic" and NO°="NO alcohol. Moreover, NANO also refers to the minuscule amount of alcohol, namely 0.3% to be exact. Nevertheless, in Belgium this may be called an alcohol-free beer, as it remains below the 0.5% alcohol limit.
Thanks to the use of a special strain of yeast, sugars are not converted into alcohol during fermentation. However, this yeast creates aromatic esters and a complex aroma and taste sensation.
So this NANO° is brewed in identically the same way as the other Vicaris beers, with the same quality ingredients.

About the brewer
The origins of Brouwerij Dilewyns date back to 1885. At that time, the oil butcher's shop in Grembergen (Dendermonde) was converted into a beer brewery by Anne-Coleta Wauman. This brewery was in use until 1943, until the copper kettles were requisitioned to make ammunition.
Vincent Dilewyns, a descendant of the Wauman family, made his first beer in 1999. From dental technician, to hobby brewer, to brewery. Read more about the rich history of Dilewyns Brewery here.
